June 3rd 2006 is Ricky and my first wedding anniversary. We made it! One full year. :)
To celebrate, I sent out a last minute invitation to the crew for brunch at Amanda's, one of the fanciest restaurants in Hoboken. Since we unexpectedly arrived as a large group of 7, the manager set up a semi-private dining room for us near the back of the restaurant. I ordered poached eggs with crab hash and Ricky ordered the steak and eggs. Both dishes were amazing, the steak especially was very impressive.
After lunch, it took us a while to decide where to go to. We ended up going to BJ's in Paramus and as an anniversary present, Ricky bought me an elliptical! YAY!!
After that, we drove out to Riverside Mall to the Barnes & Nobles there. Since the Cheesecake Factory is also conveniently located at Riverside Square, we put out names down and proceeded to peruse through the bookstore and other stores at the Mall. Before we knew it, the buzzer sounded and we had a table (it was a one hour wait which went by real fast). The food at Cheesecake Factory is always a crowd pleaser. I had salad, which came as a small mountain of veggies and steak. Ricky had the bang bang chicken and shrimp, very tasty in coconut peanut sauce. It was almost midnight by the time we got home, but we had a very happy anniversary indeed!
