Brownstone Pancakes

Today was the worst dieting day in the history of the world! Ray, Euhan, Andrej and Usa came over to hlep us move the treadmill from the first floor to the second floor but of course we've all gotta be fed! So Usa, stoke of genius, had the idea to go to Brownstone Pancakes, a diner/pancakes joint on the corner of Grand and Jersey. Ricky drove to Hoboken to pick the peeps up and we walked 2 blocks over to the newly renovated brownstone.

The place was excellent! Very quaint and diner like. The menu was a big binder full of pages of food food and more food. There were chocolate chip peanut butter pancakes, banana cream belgian waffles, colossal omelets (which were truly colossal), fried chicken baskets, salads, on and on and on. Just the menu was a lot to get though, making a choice was that much harder! In the end, I had an "Aspen Omelete", egg whites with ham, peppers and onions. They weren't kinding when they said colossal, the omeletes were huge. Usa got a Jack combo with flap jacks, eggs and a turky sausage. The plate of pancakes had at least 10 pancakes on it, we were so surprised! Andrej ordered a blueberry pancake that looked more like a layered cake because the pancakes were so big. Ricky had fish and chips which were quite good as well. Ray got "Disco Fries" fries with cheese and gravy...yum!

After the crazy heavy meal, we went home and the guys quickly moved the treadmill to the second floor. The guys lounged around and watched movies on TV while Usa and I took Brownie out to Liberty State Park. It was so beautiful! The weather was perfect there was a light breeze, the view across the harbor of lower Manhattan was breathtaking and Usa was impressed. The place is great, there was even a view of the Statue of Liberty! Of course I've taken Brownie there before, but thought it'd be a nice place for a good walk! Brownie of course had an amazing time as usual, running around. He as exhausted by the time he got home and was considerably less wired. Haha... he's so cute when he's tired...
