For Usa's Hong Kong trip...

Usa is going to Hong Kong on April 12, I am so excited for her! Ray and I have been giving her pointers as to where to go and what to do in HK as well as how to properly pronounce Cantonese... here I will post any additional things that I think Usa can not miss while she is there... hopefully she might have time to go online...?

Many guides will tell you to go to Yung Kee (new Lan Guai Fong)...I dunno, normal HK people rarely go there, it's more for tourists. I've also heard it's quite expensive and not worth it... just don't go. Haha..

A good place that you could try and is kinda cool is the Jumbo Seafood Palace. You take little ferry out from Aberdeen to a floating restaurant in the middle of the Harbor. It's not the best Chinese food, but I've heard it's quite good. But it's definitely uniqe to HK...so I would say worth a trip. http://www.jumbo.com.hk/

In Central there are 2 streets, Li Yuen East Street and Li Yuen W. St. There are a lot of sample export stores there. Don't go to Central just for that, but if you're there anyway, it's worth strolling through to see if you find any bargains.

Close to the Wing On in Shueng Wan (actually opposite it), there is a street that specializes in selling cheap (fake - meaning not precious metals) jewelry. Wholesalers pick up from there for distribution and export so there's a ton of variety and it's not expensive.

Here's the link to Cafe de Coral with the good pork chop rice, the coffee is also excellent but remember it's more worth it to get it with a meal (only HKD5) whereas if you get it by itself, its HKD10. Haha.. http://www.cafedecoralfastfood.com/, http://www.cafedecoral.com (I don't know why there were 2 websites...)

Here is Fairwood: http://www.fairwood.com.hk/

Also stroll around Causeway Bay, go to Times Square for some concentrated shopping. There's also Sogo and the street behind Sogo that has some cool clothing stores. CSB is my area, so I know it best... :)

Ok, I'll add more when I think of stuff...
